How Cecon Works

CECON acts as a technical expert agent or broker/seller by linking subject matter experts, consultants, with clients requesting specific technical and business information and problem solving skills. With more than 800 independent consultants registered with CECON, in all areas of science and engineering, we are capable of quickly linking client needs with consultant expertise and availability.

If the subject matter expertise is outside CECON's existing network of experts, CECON associates are highly skilled in working our network assets to find the expert perfect for the client's project.

Asking for an expert search from CECON is risk free. There is no charge for our professional search unless you engage the expert we introduce to you. When you engage the CECON Consultant, our fees are part of their hourly rates.

Here are the steps followed that lead to a consultant engagement:

  1. A technically trained CECON associate will work with the client to clearly define the type of expertise needed and consultant requirements. Often our skilled associates offer clarity on the problem definition and type of expertise needed. There is no charge for this service.
  2. The CECON associate will introduce the consultants to the client, and send one or more CV's for their review opposite the project requirements. If the client wishes to conduct a telephone interview with the consultant, CECON will make the arrangements. Again, there is no charge for this service.
  3. When the client determines the consultant they wish to engage, CECON will prepare and send a Client Agreement defining the terms of the engagement. All administrative and billing issues are handled by CECON.
  4. Once the Client Agreement is signed, the consultant will go to work on the client's project, under the direction and control of the client.
  5. At least monthly CECON will invoice the client for the consultant services as consulting work is performed.
