New instruments included a horizontal SPR imaging system for improved microfluidic and robotic performance, a slow-scan interferometer for infrared Fourier transform imaging, and a precision temperature-controlled sample cell for SPR kinetics measurements. Microfluidic design, microarray fabrication, surface modification using alkanethiol monolayers, long-range SPR imaging, and design of high-efficiency near-infrared sources.
