Reformulated Refinish Basecoat systems to provide improved property and application performance while maintaining color matching capabilities.
Technical Leader of the Refinish Clearcoat group during the development and commercialization of the DuPont "HyperCure"TM Clearcoat line, that set new standards in the marketplace for productivity.
Developed a number of new polymers and oligomers with novel structures to enable lower VOC coatings with imporved productivity. Two US Patents awarded.
Managed technical supplier interactions as Vendor Coordinator. This role included:
- Acting as liaison between suppliers and the technical community to assure DuPont had the best available external technologies.
- Managing raw material supply programs to assure product availability.
- Working to maintain critical technical business relationships with key suppliers.
Developed and formulated a family of Refinish Clearcoat products, coined "ChromaClear"TM, that were the main brand offering for DuPont Refinish over the span of about a decade. This product line was recognized by the Refinish marketplace as one of the strengths of DuPont Refinish Coatings.
