Helped grow the company from 10 employees to about 100 personel. Provided my technical expertise on Ni-Zn batteries to establish production facilities for data-center back-up battery and large size batteries for nuclear submarines.  Authored or co-authored and was granted 8 U.S. Patents.

Technical Advisor for Zinc electrode and Ni-Zn cell development                                                 2007- 2013

Worked with their partner at Mudoch University in New Zealand to improve the performance of their unique insoluble zinc electrode. Visited battery companies to help promote the technology. Designed sample cells to give to several U.S. and foreign battery companies.

Managed over 30 scientists, engineers and technicians. Established pilot and manufacturing facilities in the U.S. and China for the manufacture of Ni-Zn batteries for electric bicycles, scooters and trolling motors for bass fishing. Served on the Board of Directors of Evercel and Xiamen Three Circles Battery Co. Ltd in China.

ERC is now Fuel Cell Energy manufacturing MW size molten carbonate fuel cells. Joined ERC as one of its founding employees. Managed all battery development and manufacturing activities. Directed the manufacturing of Ag-Zn ry capable of high rate charge/discharge performance and long cycle life.
